Deer Processing

Our country store is a unique feature to our processing shop! We have a full supply of Sourwood, clover and wildflower honey. A fully stocked deli case with multiple cheese and candy selections. We have smoked beef summer sausage, 2 cheese summer sausage with jalapeño peppers and smoked Beef Jerky. 

We also have a full t-shirt display with our original designs.


     For nearly two decades, Sorghum Hollow has been the go-to destination for wild game processing in NW Alabama. We provide a wide array of mouth-watering options, from simple venison steaks and burgers to Jalapeño and cheese beef summer sausages, tempting smoked  jerky, and savory deli-sliced smoked hams. Quality is our top priority. We meticulously inspect each deer to ensure the meat is perfect. Depending on weather conditions and temperature, we reserve the right to refuse any deer that has been deceased for more than 12 hours with its innards intact. Rest assured that we carefully trim and clean every piece of meat, removing sinew, membranes, and other connective tissue for an exceptional final product.

     Our doors are open from 6 AM to 8 PM during deer season. We know how challenging it can be to nab a deer, and how enjoyable it is to showcase an impressive buck. However, we kindly request that you bring your deer to us at a reasonable hour. If you anticipate arriving after 8 PM, just give us a call, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. We take stringent measures to keep each order separate throughout the entire processing journey—right from the moment you provide your name at our counter.
